Handcrafted bucket hats made in regional NSW, featuring original artwork by Tania Hartigan. The relaxed fit and soft fabric keep things lightweight and comfortable, while the frayed brim edge adds character that plays beautifully with the unique print. Pair them with our swim briefs and trunks for a complete fashion forward fit for your day at the beach.

About Yananga

The Gubiya and Yananga ranges explore our relationship with country through water and how access shapes the way we move and live on the land.

Yananga means "to walk" in Gamilaraay language, which is how we cross our waterways when they dry during droughts. Each design begins as hand-drawn artwork by Tania Hartigan, then it is digitally translated onto fabric.

Three original symbols inspired by traditional imagery tell the story:

Spiralling Water represents the endless cycle we witness, the pattern of drought and rainfall that defines our seasons.

Fingerprints reminds us that every action we take on country ripples through the environment and shapes the flow of water around us.

Barbed Wire speaks to colonisation and its impact on our waterways, while also pointing toward repair and how we can protect our creeks and rivers by keeping farmland separate from the water that sustains us.
